Renewing Your Membership
The SAHGB is an organisation of people of all ages and in all parts of the United Kingdom and internationally, united by an interest in architectural history, including academic and professional architectural historians, architects, undergraduate and postgraduate students of architecture and architectural history, and others from all backgrounds who simply have an interest in architectural history. By continuing to support us, you will become part of this thriving, active and diverse network, gain all the benefits of membership, and support our vital work in promoting the study and enjoyment of the built environment.
If you normally make your renewal payment by Direct Debit, please do not use the form on the right of the page that takes payment by card.
To enquire about direct debit (as we change provider in early 2024), as well as all membership queries, contact details changes, and enquiries relating to Direct Debit, please email membership@sahgb.org.uk.
Membership dues are payable annually on the first day of January. It is possible to renew from 1 October onwards, which would give 15 months of membership.
Renewals made now will be valid until 31 December 2024.

Our members are the lifeblood of our organisation and membership fundamentally supports our educational objectives. In return for your support we offer:
A free hard copy of Architectural History, the leading peer-reviewed journal in the discipline, produced to the highest standard and featuring new research by leaders in their field and reviews of the latest publications
2 issues per year of our magazine, The Architectural Historian, with updates, news and features relating to higher education, heritage and conservation practice
A monthly email update with news and offers
Discounted participation in our diverse and expanding programme including study visits, symposia and lectures (see ‘What We Do’ and ‘What’s On’ for more)
For student and early career professions we offer a reduced subscription fee. We also offer bursaries to attend selected conferences and events, and run awards and events tailored to their needs. We also run a long-established PhD scholarship programme which runs annually.
Membership dues are payable annually on the first day of January.
To renew please complete the membership application form online. If you would like to renew by post please contact us at membership@sahgb.org.uk. You may wish to set up a direct debit and/or make a Gift Aid declaration.
Members who join after 1 October will be subscribed for the following calendar year.

Members are encouraged to make their renewal payment by Direct Debit: for guidance on new mandates in 2024, please contact the membership address above. Overseas members may pay online in sterling using Stripe. If needing assistance, please contact membership@sahgb.org.uk
